The Board Health has a five member elected board which meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month , 7:00pm at the Bourne Town Hall, lower conference room.

The Board members as of  4-07 are:

Stanley Andrews

The Board members serve a three year term on an alternating schedule so that not all members are up for re-election at any one time.

The Board of Health deals with a variety of issues relative to Title 5 (sewage disposal), housing, food service, general nuisances, air quality and other health related concerns.

The Board of Health is empowered to enforce existing State and Local health regulations.  Under State statue has the right to promulgate its own health regulations to address the health concerns and septic issues in Town.  Local regulation may be more strict than State regulations.
