F.I.D. Licenses and Licenses to Carry
F.I.D. Licenses are necessary if you want to own or carry propellant sprays (mace/pepper spray).
To carry a firearm, either concealed or not, you must have a License to Carry.
Requirements:
You must be a resident of the town of Bourne to apply for a license.
You must be at least 15 years old to apply; however, those under 18 years old must present a letter of permission from their parent or guardian.
You MUST be 21 years of age to apply for a license to CARRY.
Where and When:
Applications are accepted at the Bourne Police Department on 175 Main Street, Bourne.
Walk-in
applications are accepted every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00am
until 1:00pm;
you can also call in at anytime to see if one of the licensing officials are
available to accept your
application.
How Much:
The fee for the LTC and FID license is $100.00, a Propellant License fee is
$25.00 payable by
check or money order made out to Town of Bourne. The renewal
fee is waived for applicants
70 years and older. Cash is not accepted
How Long:
Please be aware that applications may take over 6 weeks
to be returned. Be sure
to keep this in mind when renewing so your license does not expire.
Renewal:
Licenses are good for 6 years; Propellant renewals are free; Firearm
renewals
are $100.00.
