Financial

1.      Develop and implement long-term financial plans and efficient budget processes as tools for financial stability

Progress:             Hired Finance director

                        Developed long-term capital planning framework

                        Developed long-term (ten-year) financial plan

                        Developed & managed budget process effectively

 

The Environment

2.      Develop plans for renewable energy conservation and savings

3.      Develop and implement plans for  using, rejuvenating and preserving coastal resources

4.      Develop and implement plans for wastewater management

Progress:  Appointed Wastewater Advisory Group

 

Human Services

5.      Enhance the town’s human services responsiveness

Progress:          Established a possible site for food pantry

                        Human Services Committee has been authorized

 

Economic Development

6.      Drive the development of collaborative plans for economic and community development

No Progress

 

Town Services

7.      Develop and approve a long-range plan for the landfill

Progress:          Landfill Working Group has been appointed and meets regularly

                  Consultant engaged to work with Landfill Working Group on long-range planning

                  ISWM is working to extend trash disposal options including landfill

Town Meeting approved $100K for feasibility study for DPW/Public Safety campus; RFP being issued

8.      Develop and implement formal personnel policies and procedures for town employees

Progress:              Developed an employee handbook

                        Implemented updated job descriptions

                        Scheduled annual department head reviews

                        Implementing job evaluation process for all employees
