OpenGov/ViewPoint Cloud Online Permitting Information

 

The Town of Bourne is now using online permit and license tracking via OpenGov/Viewpoint Cloud for all BUILDING, ELECTRICAL, AND PLUMBING, GAS, and a way to submit COMPLAINTS. It's a web based system that allows the public to apply and track the permitting and licensing process from start to finish.

 If you have used ViewPoint Cloud in another community you can use your same username and password, otherwise you must create a new account.

How do I sign up for an account?

Before you can submit any applications you must create an account for the site. 

1. Go to the home page.  https://bournema.viewpointcloud.com

2. Choose the "Sign Up" option located in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Type in your e-mail address and preferred password. Please write down password for future use.

 

How do I submit an application?

1.    Go to the home page.  https://bournema.viewpointcloud.com

2.    Select the building department located at the bottom of the page.

3.    Choose the type of permit by clicking Select.

4.    Read through the permit requirements and click Apply Online at the top-right of the page.

5.    Follow the steps on each page to complete the application.

When do I pay my permit fee?

You will get notice via email. At that time, you have the option of paying online by credit card check via mail or dropbox located behind the Town Hall. Please note that if you choose to pay online, there is an additional processing fee (this fee will already be included in the estimated fee amount). Click here to access the online payment portal. You need to apply for your permit prior to submitting a payment.

The permit card must be printed and be posted on-site.

What happens next?

Since your application is electronic, you can monitor the status online and you will also receive notifications via email as the application is reviewed and processed. Once the permit is issued you will be able to print it.  As a user you have the ability to login to ViewPoint from anywhere to view your application.Please log into your account to track any progress or review comments prior to calling the office for assistance.
