Bourne Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility (ISWM)

From Route 495
  • Go over Bourne Bridge.
  • Enter the rotary at 6 o’clock and exit at 12 o’clock onto Route 28 South towards Falmouth.
  • About ½ mile on the left there will be an exit/turnaround, take this.
  • Cross Route 28 North all the way into the breakdown lane on the far side.
  • Travel in the breakdown lane about 50 yards; the entrance to the facility is on the right.
From Route 3
  • Go to the Sagamore Bridge Rotary (do not go over the bridge).
  • Enter at 6 o’clock and exit at 3 o’clock onto the Scenic Highway.
  • Follow along canal until the Buzzards Bay Rotary.
  • Stay to the right then go straight (don’t go around the rotary).
  • At the fork stay right and go over the Bourne Bridge.
  • Enter the rotary at 6 o’clock and exit at 12 o’clock onto Route 28 South towards Falmouth.
  • About ½ mile on the left there will be an exit/turnaround, take this.
  • Cross Route 28 North all the way into the breakdown lane on the far side.
  • Travel in the breakdown lane about 50 yards; the entrance to the facility is on the right.
From Route 28 (Falmouth)
  • Travel Route 28 North towards the Bourne Bridge, passing through the Otis rotary.
  • About 1 mile south of the Bourne Bridge, enter into in the breakdown lane which becomes the entrance to the facility.
From Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway)
  • Get off Route 6 at Exit 1 just before the Sagamore Bridge.
  • Take the first left onto Adams Street. 
  • At the bottom take a left onto Sandwich Road (6A).
  • Follow Sandwich road unit you reach the Bourne Bridge Rotary
  • Enter at 6 o’clock and exit at 9 o’clock onto Route 28 South.
  • About ½ mile on the left there will be an exit/turnaround, take this.
  • Cross Route 28 North all the way into the breakdown lane on the far side.
  • Travel in the breakdown lane about 50 yards; the entrance to the facility is on the right.
Directions on site
  • For the ISWM office- continue straight and at the top of the hill take a left onto Transfer Lane just before a large tan building. At the bottom of the hill turn left into the parking lot. The ISWM office is at the far end of the parking lot.
  • Residential Recycling Center- continue straight all the way to the end of the site. The guard shack is the end of the road.
