ATTENTION C&D DEBRIS TRANSFER STATION CUSTOMERS

PRICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE October 26, 2020

As of Monday, October 26, 2020, the price for mattresses, boxsprings and sofa beds will be $40 each.  Additionally, the price per ton for difficult-to-manage loads has increased to $150.  Note that from time to time the transfer station may be closed for the entire day or may close early because the Town cannot send materials out for processing.  This occurs when processors have reached their capacity to accept materials from our facility or they are closed for some other reason such as mechanical failure.  To see if the facility is open, you may call the scalehouse at 508-759-0639 to get the most up-to-date information on our status.  As a general rule, you should arrive early in the morning to increase the likelihood that your load will be accepted.

Notice to Landfill Customers

The Town has shifted the business model for the landfill whereby it utlizes almost all of the allowable daily tonnage for disposal of municipal waste combustor ash under a contract with Covanta SEMASS.  The remaining daily tonnage is used for household trash from Bourne and from the Town of Falmouth under a contract.  On a limited basis and depending on the available capacity, other materials such as soils may be accepted.  As a result, ony those with a residential recycling center sticker will be allowed to dispose of motorboats, sailboats and RVs by paying at the scale.  Local hauling companies and boatyards are good sources for information on disposal options.
