Yard Sales

Yard, Garage and/or Barn Sales are defined as the sale, or offering for sale, ten (10) or more items of personal property at any one residential premise at any time. Yard Sale Permits are required by Town Bylaw 3.1.26. Yard sale permits are issued by the Town Administrator acting as the Agent of the Select Board.

Requirements:
  • The owner or resident is allowed two (2) yard sales per year and no more than one (1) such sale in any period of three (3) consecutive months.

  • Sales shall not continue for more than two (2) consecutive days.

  • The applicant must apply three (3) days prior to the date of the proposed sale.

Off premise signs are not allowed. The permit fee is ten ($10.00) dollars.

All permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
