Hardcourt Project

Hardcourt Welcome

2022 Annual Town Meeting voted in favor of appropriating $330,000 from Community Preservation Fund reserves to fund the Recreation Committee’s Hardcourt and ADA improvements project.

Phase One

Phase One of the Hardcourt project is to resurface Clarke, Keith, Pocasset, and Cataumet Schoolhouse hardcourts - each identified as the most critical condition.

  • An RFP was issued on December 8th, and the contract was awarded to East Coast Sealcoating
  • The Recreation Committee sought public input on how Phase One (resurfacing the courts) should be laid out and repainted to best serve those who utilize the courts. The survey was promoted through a media release and robust social media presence. Over 135 responses were received, and will be used to guide the Recreation Committee with their decision making.
