Survey

In addition to workshops, the Strategic Plan survey extended an open invitation for participation and engagement to all Bourne residents, businesses, local stakeholders and patrons of all ages. Prompting individual reflection, the results from the survey will provide valuable insight and be incorporated into decisions on future Library programs and services for the next 5 years and beyond.

Workshops

Two (2) in-person workshops and one (1) virtual workshop were offered at different days of the week, at different times and at different locations to ensure a robust community participation process is being undertaken.  *Same content was covered at each workshop.*

Participants were grouped with a Library Board of Trustee acting as facilitator to deep dive into a series of brainstorming questions and potential solutions. Robust dialog was generated at each workshop, which results will be included in final reporting and decision making that will ultimately shape the future of library services for the community it serves.

In total over 300 members of the community participated and provided input.

A summary of the responses is linked below along with a memo outlining next steps for the Trustees in crafting the final plan which will incorporate a vision and goals generated from participation received.
