About Us

Who We Are

The Bourne Council on Aging was established by the Town of Bourne in March 1969, in accordance with Chapter 40, Section 8B of the Massachusetts General Laws. Since that time, the dedicated work of staff members and volunteers has allowed the Council on Aging to continuously expand the scope of its programs and services.

The Mission of the Council on Aging is to plan, develop, implement and provide programs and services that enhance the quality of life for residents of Bourne who have reached their 60th year of age and to advocate for porgrams and services that support seniors.  Further, the COA will pormote the well-being of Bourne residents of any age by acting as the Human Services Agency for the Town of Bourne.
