FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bourne, MA (January 17, 2024)

COVID Testing Opportunities on Cape Cod

The Town of Bourne would like to remind residents 3 respiratory viruses (COVID-19, influenza, and RSV) as well as other respiratory diseases are still driving season-high levels of ED visits and hospital admissions.

Get tested if you develop any symptoms.  Learn to recognize signs and symptoms of respiratory illnesses like flu, COVID-19, and RSV. If you have those symptoms, residents can access tests the following ways:

  • Start with Home (Self) Testing

Self-tests for COVID-19 are easy, reliable, give rapid results and can be taken anywhere, regardless of your vaccination status or whether or not you have symptoms.

  • At this time, the Bourne Health Department does not have a supply of self-tests.
  • Government test kits available from COVID.gov will be delivered directly to your home.
  • Free tests may be either available through insurance, or local community organizations.
  • Health Center Testing

Safe, effective, and accessible COVID-19 testing is available without an appointment at all Cape Cod Healthcare Urgent Care centers for individuals who wish to be seen by a provider for their symptoms. Additionally, walk-in rapid testing is available at Urgent Care for individuals without symptoms who are seeking testing for travel or health monitoring (with an out-of-pocket cost of $125).
