TOWN OF BOURNE

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Bourne Board of Assessors have received preliminary certification of the Fiscal Year 2023 assessments.  Commencing Tuesday, November 8, 2022 through Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the Bourne Board of Assessors will conduct public disclosure for the results of the recently completed town-wide revaluation for Fiscal Year 2023

Every five years each city and town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts must be certified by the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue as assessing all real and personal property at 100% of full and fair cash value under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40, Section 56 to achieve full and fair cash value.

The proposed assessed values reflected the estimated market value of properties as of January 1, 2022 based on sales in calendar years 2020 and 2021. The revaluation resulted in value increases of 10% to 25%.
