Open Burning Season - 2023

The open burning season is approaching and will begin on January 15, 2023. Per Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection regulations, open burning is allowed with a permit from Bourne Fire/Rescue from January 15th through May 1st when air quality and fire conditions are acceptable. Permits as well as a full list of regulations and guidelines are available online from main page. Beginning January 1, 2023 there will be a $10 fee for an open burning permit plus processing charges through Unipay online payment website (50¢ for electronic check or a separate fee for various credit cards.
Permits for the 2023 season will be available January 2, 2023.
