We are moving.

Effective at 6 PM today, the Bourne Fire Station on Barlows Landing Road will be unstaffed, except for occasional emergency coverage. One engine will be housed there. The duty crew and all apparatus have been relocated to the station on Thomas Philbrick Road in Monument Beach. We will continue to cross-staff an engine, and ambulance, with a supervisor vehicle at the Monument Beach station, with a lieutenant and two firefighters.

This move was prompted by an engineering study that showed two apparatus bay floors of the Pocasset Station were unable to accommodate department apparatus. Our dispatch center at the Barnstable County Sheriffs Department and our mutual aid partners have all been notified.

As a reminder - we make housecalls. Do not drive to any station with an emergency. Always call 911. Professional dispatchers can get accurate information and provide important pre-arrival information.
